About Safe Haven

Founded in 2021, our mission to help traumatized and betrayed women was conceived after my own recovery journey of almost a decade. Through individual trauma sensitive coaching and group sessions for women, we help guide our clients to a place where they can start on the road to healing and find resilience and stability.

In early 2021 I embarked on an unexpected journey that led me to founding Safe Haven Mentoring after many years of my own healing journey.  

What I experienced in the last eight years of my marriage changed my life in profound ways. The trauma of recurring betrayal and continual infidelity shook me to my core.  It has been a long road to healing through therapy, support groups, on my knees in prayer, and true friends leaning in to prop me up with their acts of love and kindness.

As part of my life experience I have been a Stephen Minister and then led the Stephen Ministry in my church. As a Stephen Minister, I came to realize that so many of us suffer alone and unseen from many types of traumas.  

In founding Safe Haven Mentoring, I want to coach and guide you to a safe place for those who have experienced the tornado of destruction that your spouse/partner’s sexual addiction has unleashed on your life. I have taken this road…. let me guide you...I will accompany you on your journey to restore hope and joy, and lead you to a place of healing.

Have you found yourself in a place you never imagined you would be?  Are you caught in a firestorm of betrayal from an affair or pornography?  Does your world and perhaps even your faith feel completely torn apart? 

If you answered yes to any of those questions, you are in the right place.  My own journey from betrayal trauma and childhood abuse has been hard.  Being involved in ministry and missions compounded the shame and fear that had already taken root.

I made the decision to heal by walking “through the pain instead of around it”.  From that, I have immersed myself in learning more about these issues and how to help women heal and have hope again.  Will it be tough?  Yes!  But you will have myself and a group of peers to walk this out with you.

I am divorced and a mother and grandmother. After returning from the mission field in Eastern Europe (Moldova), I now live in Belton, TX.
